GM Advogados and Volia Bomfim Advogados join forces
GM Advogados and Volia Bomfim Advogados have joined forces to form GM Advogados e Vólia Bomfim. The merger will strengthen the former’s national practice with the latter’s specialty in employment law.
Founded in Recife in 1975 as Vicente Gouveia Advogado, GM Lawyers is close to its 50th anniversary and, since its inception, has stood out for its full-service work.
Vólia Bomfim is a professor, author and served as a magistrate for more than 25 years. She retired from the TRT-1 in 2018, but has since become a lawyer and has dedicated herself to more complex labor cases, whether advisory, contentious or administrative, while still managing mass cases.
The firm has 250 direct employees and its own offices in five capital cities (São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Recife, Salvador and João Pessoa), led by partners Vólia Bomfim, Rodrigo Antonio Freitas; João Vicente Gouveia, Paulo Henrique Magalhães and Paulo Eduardo Moury Fernandes (pictured from left to right).
