Guerrero Olivos has advised Fomento Económico Mexicano on the acquisition of 100% of Ok Market

Chilean law firm Guerrero Olivos has assisted Fomento Económico Mexicano S.A.B. de C.V. (FEMSA) in the acquisition of 100% of the shares of OK Market S.A., formerly owned by SMU Holding, a company that currently operates more than 120 convenience stores in Chile.

This transaction was closed on 28 February and was valued at $63 million. Morales y Besa also participated in the operation, which will allow FEMSA to operate more than 250 convenience stores in Chile, consolidating its position in the market.

FEMSA is a Mexican multinational beverage and retail company that integrates the largest independent Coca-Cola bottling group in the world, and the largest convenience store chain in Mexico (Oxxo).
