Guatemalan firms García & Bodán and Asensio, Andrade, Flores merge

Managua-headquartered García & Bodán has expanded in Guatemala by the merging with local firm Asensio, Andrade, Flores & Asociados.

As a result of the link-up, García & Bodán will now have 17 lawyers in Guatemala, and means it is now the fifth largest firm in the country.

Terencio García, founder and regional director of García & Bodán, said: “We place a lot of emphasis on the values that our partners and associates hold, and we really believe that the foundation of a relationship is based on the values that you have.”

He added: “I’m sure we have the same values as human beings and as professionals. The first of them all is honesty, that’s the essence of our relationship. The second one is vocation to service, that’s the secret of success in a relationship in a law firm. Third is solidarity with our colleagues. Those values are reflected in our new team. Adding our new partners gives us a lot of strength in Guatemala and the region.”
