Guerrero Olivos advises IFC on $45m financing to Caja 18
Guerrero Olivos has advised the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group (WBG), which has approved a $45 million financing for the “Caja de Compensación de Asignación Familiar Caja 18 de Septiembre” (Caja 18).
This investment will enable Caja 18 to provide more loans to low-income female workers, who will benefit from 40% of income, and to retirees, who will receive 60%. The initiative is part of IFC’s broader Silver Economy initiative, which aims to create innovative financial products for people over 50 in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The transaction, completed on November 15, also involved Becker Glynn as advisor to IFC in the US, and Barros & Errázuriz as advisor to Caja 18 in Chile.
