H&K promotes senior counsel in Bogotá
Holland & Knight strengthens its Employment practice with the promotion of Carolina Castro to senior counsel
Holland & Knight has announced that associate Carolina Castro de la Torre (pictured) has been promoted to senior counsel in the Bogotá office, effective 25 April.
Enrique Gómez-Pinzón, executive partner of H&K in Colombia, said: “We are confident that from this new position she will continue to contribute in a very positive way in the labour area and with the clients of the office.”
Carolina is a lawyer from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, a specialist in Labour Law and Social Security from the same university and holds a Master of Laws degree from Columbia University in New York. She has more than 11 years of professional experience, seven of which were at Holland & Knight, one of them in the Washington, D.C. office. In the labour area, she handles individual and collective Labour Law matters, Social Security Law, Labour Law litigation, administrative proceedings before labour authorities, Immigration Law and local and international arbitration of labour matters.
She has participated in transactions advising large companies in the implementation of retirement plans, restructuring of compensation plans and elaboration of human resources policies and procedures. She has also participated in major due diligence processes and labour transactions and advises clients in administrative proceedings before labour and social security authorities, such as the Colombian Ministry of Labour and the Pension and Parafiscal Management Unit (UGPP).
With this promotion, Holland & Knight completes nine partners and two senior counsels in Bogotá.
