H&K advises GreenYellow on $35m in financing
Holland & Knight has advised GreenYellow Colombia on its latest round of financing from Banco Santander for a USD $35 million (approximately 144 billion Colombian pesos) non-recourse green loan for an energy efficiency portfolio with Grupo Éxito in Colombia.
The funds will be used to finance 59 greenfield and brownfield projects within Grupo Éxito’s Retrofit portfolio, which encompasses the modernisation of several of its distribution centres through a multi-store Utility as a Service solution. These projects will contribute to reducing Grupo Éxito’s carbon footprint, strengthen its supply chain infrastructure and improve its operational efficiency.
GreenYellow is a French multinational energy company that helps its customers reduce their carbon footprint through solutions focused on energy efficiency and solar energy. Grupo Éxito, headquartered in Envigado, Colombia, with shops across the country, is the leading food retail platform in South America.
