HLL & Pieri Advogados has founding partner recognized by WCO

Homero Leonardo Lopes (pictured), founding partner of HLL & Pieri Advogados, was recognized last January 26, International Customs Day, as a deserving private representative of the World Customs Organization (WCO) Certificate of Merit.
The certification refers to the efforts of customs administrations and representatives of the public and private sectors to support the customs officers of the future, encourage knowledge sharing, and strengthen the feeling of belonging to the institution and to the global customs community.
For his work in customs and as founder and first president of ABEAD, Homero Leonardo received the certification from the hands of the Superintendent of the Federal Revenue of Brazil’s 6th Fiscal Region, Dr. Michel Lopes Teodoro.
Homero Lopes Leonardo is a lawyer with more than 40 years of experience, specialist in Customs and Tax Law by the School of Fazendária Administration (ESAF), former Tax Auditor of the Federal Revenue of Brazil, founder of the Brazilian Association of Customs Studies (ABEAD), and former professor of the School of Fazendária Administration of the Ministry of Finance (ESAF).
