JDF welcomes former energy undersecretary as new director

Chilean law firm Jara del Favero has announced the appointment of Francisco Javier López Díaz (pictured), former Undersecretary of Energy, as the firm’s new Energy Director.

Francisco holds a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and an LL.M. from the Pritzker School of Law at Northwestern University and a Certificate in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at the same university.

In the public sector, in addition to being Undersecretary of Energy at the Chilean Ministry of Energy, he also served as Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Public Works and in the Budget Directorate at the Ministry of Finance, advisor to the Undersecretary of Health, and as regulatory and legislative coordinator at the Chilean Ministry of Economy, Development and Tourism. He was also a partner at Fontaine Uriarte y López (FUL).
