Jones Day advises Mexico´s Arendal on Hoc Offshore and Shark deals
Jones Day has advised Mexican construction company Arendal on in its acquisition of 100 per cent of the shares of Hoc Offshore and Shark Engineering and Construction.
The firm also advised Arendal on the acquisition of the vessel “Texas”, certified by Vanuatu (registration of international vessels).
Arendal specialises in plants, electromechanical works, civil engineering, directional drilling, and fiber optic networks.
The transaction was approved by the bankruptcy court for the District of Delaware on July 24, after an auction on July 22.
The Jones Day team was led by Peter A. Jimenez (Miami) and Manuel Roman (Mexico City) and had the support of Enrique Martin (Miami), Luis Velez and Jessica Mendoza (Miami), Fernanda Gallo and Salvador Valdes (Mexico City) and Scott Schwind (Houston).
