Jones Day instructed on sale of Ennis´s apparel division in Mexico

Jones Day advised Ennis on the Mexican leg of its $110 million sale of Alstyle to Gildan Activewear. 

Ennis is a printing and clothing wholeseller headquartered in Texas and Alstyle Apparel was its apparel division. With the sale of Alstyle, Ennis plans to refocus on its core businesses.

Gildan Activewear is a Montreal-headquartered manufacturer of branded clothing.

Jones Day partners Antonio Franck, Mauricio Llamas and Rodrigo Gómez acted for Ennis on the sale of the Mexican subsidiaries of Alstyle. Baker Botts acted as US counsel to Ennis.

Gildan retained Ritch, Mueller, Heather y Nicolau in Mexico and Sullivan & Cromwell in the US.
