Kennedys expands in Miami and forms association with law firm in Argentina

Kennedys has added Dan Sanders, a Florida and Pennsylvania-qualified lawyer, to its Miami office. The appointment follows the October arrival of Neil Bayer from Gray Robinson.

Kennedys’ Miami office had focused on supporting clients in the Latin American, Caribbean and London markets. The new arrivals will allow the firm to practice US law.

Dan Sanders joins from global insurer Zurich where he was Head of Technical Claim Excellence for the Americas. He has experience in insurance policy issues and claims regarding a range of indemnity contracts and policies, including professional indemnity, financial lines, general liability, construction, motor, property and aviation.

Sanders will work closely with Neil Bayer, who joined the firm in October and has extensive litigation experience of maritime-related areas working with insurance underwriters and private clients on issues relating to yachts and super yachts, including first and third party insurance claims involving both property damage and personal injury.

Elsewhere, Kennedys also announced a formal association with law firm Alberto Bunge & Asociados (ABA) in Argentina, its fifth in Latin America. Kennedys already has formal associations in Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico.

ABA is a boutique firm focused on large and complex insurance and reinsurance matters and has worked with Kennedys since 2013. The firm is led by founding partner Alberto José Bunge, who is supported by two senior lawyers, Virginia Couto and Marina Klein.
