Lacerda Diniz Machado strengthens tax practice

Lacerda Diniz Machado announced the restructuring of its tax practice, now led by partner Rômulo Martins (pictured). The appointment of an internal candidate signals the firm’s commitment to developing and promoting talent from within, recognising career paths that combine technical consistency, market awareness and alignment with the firm’s overall strategic positioning.

Rômulo Martins is a partner at Lacerda Diniz Machado and focuses on Tax law, advising domestic and multinational companies on tax planning, structuring transactions with significant tax implications, and reorganisations involving income, operations and assets, including cross-border matters.
His practice combines strong technical tax expertise with experience in Corporate law and M&A, enabling him to design solutions that integrate tax efficiency, cash flow and governance, effectively linking legal advice to clients’ broader business strategy.

Rômulo began his career as a Senior Tax Consultant at Deloitte, where he worked for four years on projects in Brazil and abroad. He then served as a Senior Associate at Fialho Salles, later incorporated into Madrona, for six years, and, prior to joining Lacerda Diniz Machado, he was a Coordinating Partner at Silva Freire for four years. He holds a master’s degree in business law from Milton Campos, an LLM from FGV and an MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral.
