Larrain y Asociados assists in hospital construction concessions
Larrain y Asociados has assisted GIA+A, BlackRock and Eductrade in the bidding and award of the concession for the construction and operation of the Hospitals of Los Lagos, La Unión, Río Bueno and Puerto Varas, located in the south of Chile.
The transaction was awarded on 11 March, which involved the preparation of the relevant project contracts, corporate contracts and various regulatory aspects. The contract was worth approximately €270 million (US$ 298 million).
The concessioned hospitals will serve more than 290,000 people in the localities in which they are located and their surrounding areas.
Eductrade is a Spanish company specialising in the development of social infrastructure projects in the areas of health and education; BlackRock is an international fund manager; and GIA+A is a Mexican construction group.
