Lefosse advises on the acquisition of Globalbev by Britvic
Lefosse acted as legal advisor for Empresa Brasileira de Bebidas e Alimentos, the Brazilian subsidiary of Britvic, on the acquisition of the beverage business of the Globalbev Bebidas e Alimentos.
The transaction included the acquisition of 12 beverage brands including Extra Power, Flying Horse, Juxx and Amazoo.
Today, Britvic has four manufacturing units in Brazil located in Minas Gerais, Ceará and Rio Grande do Sul, in addition to distribution centers in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
With this market movement, Britvic will have the support of another distribution center in Brasília. The transaction, which does not include Globalbev’s food division, is subject to usual condition precedents including antitrust approval.
The transaction value was not disclosed.
