Lefosse announces three new partners
Lefosse has announced three new partners: Carla Rossi, in the Banking and Finance practice, Luiz Santos, in the Tax practice, and Paulo Peressin, in the Labor practice.
The lawyers were promoted on this date and, as a result, will join the firm as partners as of May 2.
In the last three years, Lefosse has increased its number of partners by 50% from 46 to 69.
The firm strengthened the legal teams in its 23 practices with an emphasis on strategic and specialized sectors. Today, it has more than 600 professionals divided between offices in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Brasília.
Meet the new partners:
Carla Rossi (pictured center), a partner in the Banking and Finance practice, has experience in local and cross-border financial transactions and banking law. Her portfolio includes several of the most notable corporate and project finance transactions of the last decade. She has acted in several transactions involving debt restructuring, public-private partnerships and financial transactions. Carla has great expertise in the regulation of the financial and banking markets. She has a law degree from PUC-SP (Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo), a postgraduate degree from FGV-SP (Fundação Getulio Vargas) with an emphasis on Infrastructure Projects and an LL.M. from King’s College London, specializing in International Financial Law.
Luiz Santos (pictured right), partner in the Tax practice, works in both litigation and advisory matters, on complex tax issues and administrative and judicial proceedings, especially in cases involving direct taxes and international taxation, and in M&A and public offerings. Works with clients in different industries, especially food and beverages, technology, agribusiness and automotive. He has a law degree from USP (Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de São Paulo).
Paulo Peressin (pictured left), a partner in the Labor practice, has extensive experience in the areas of judicial and administrative labor litigation, especially in complex and strategic claims, as well as effective portfolio management, with a significant reduction in contingencies, as well as with alternative dispute resolution methods. Paulo also advises on labor routines, interacting directly with legal and human resources departments to anticipate potential disputes in a preventive manner. He coordinates audits on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings and capital market operations, with a focus on labor issues. He holds a law degree from PUC-Campinas (Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas) and a master’s degree in labor law from PUC-SP (Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo).
