Lexincorp helps AB InBev clear antitrust hurdles in El Salvador
Lexincorp advised Anheuser-Busch InBev on antitrust issues in El Salvador arising from the company´s global acquisition of SABMiller.
AB InBev announced a bid to acquire SABMiller for $104 billion in October 2015. The megamerger was approved by shareholders for both companies in September 2016, giving AB InBev almost half of the global beer market.
The deal has had to clear antitrust concerns in several countries in Latin America, Africa, and the EU.
