Lexincorp strengths IP practice group

Lexincorp, the Central American law firm, announced the arrival of Gabriela Miranda as the new director of the Intellectual Property department, based in Costa Rica. 

Miranda has over 12 years of experience in the area, and has been certified by the WIPO as a patent writer. Her expertise includes prosecution of intellectual property infringements such as administrative processes, civil litigation and criminal prosecution related to IP matters. 

In a recent landmark case, Miranda acted on the cancellation of the registration of a company since it was improperly using a LEGO trademark.

Prior to joining Lexincorp, Miranda headed the IP department at another leading law firm in Costa Rica.
