MACF opens International Trade area with new counsel
Mijares Angoitia Cortés y Fuentes has announced the incorporation of Jaqueline Aranda (pictured) as counsel responsible for the new International Trade department.
This strategic addition will allow the firm to offer comprehensive advice on foreign trade and customs matters, supporting its clients on key issues such as imports, exports, customs regulations and nearshoring.
With more than 20 years of experience in international trade and customs law, Jaqueline brings a deep understanding of the global trade environment. Throughout her career, she has advised clients from diverse industries on complex foreign trade matters.
Jaqueline holds a law degree from Universidad Panamericana, with a solid academic background and extensive experience in foreign trade and customs. Prior to her incorporation, she worked as an associate at Chevez Ruíz Zamarripa and Baker & McKenzie, partner at García Seimandi Flores y Villeda, and later as independent counsel, participating in key proceedings before the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit and the Federal Court of Administrative Justice.
Jaqueline has in-depth knowledge in strategic areas such as customs controversy and litigation, interpretation of international trade treaties and agreements, and advising companies with IMMEX and PROSEC programs. She has participated in binational panels under NAFTA, and has represented clients in antidumping and countervailing duty matters. She has also served as Deputy Coordinator of the Foreign Trade Committee of the Mexican Bar Association.
