Machado Meyer act as deal counsel on issuance of Cataratas do Iguaçu
Machado Meyer has acted as deal counsel on the 1st issuance of commercial notes, in a single serie, with in rem guarantees and additional personal guarantee, for personal distribution, of Cataratas do Iguaçu, including, but no limited to the commercial notes indenture and collateral agreements.
The issuance was important in order to provide Cataratas do Iguaçu the necessary funds for the capital contribution on Urbia Cataratas, the current concessionaire of National Park of Iguaçu, as required in the concession agreement of National Park of Iguaçu.
The total amount was BRL 50 milion.
Machado Meyer represented Cataratas do Iguaçu, Eco-Noronha, Paineiras-Corcovado and Banco BTG Pactual. The firm relied on partner Bruno Janikian Racy (pictured) and lawyers Frederico Morais Menezes Abdul-hak Antelo, Roberto Kerr Cavalcante Bonometti.
