Machado Meyer advises BP’s participation in OPP organized by ANP
Machado Meyer advised BP’s participation in the 1st Cycle of Permanent Offer for Production Sharing Agreements (OPP), organized by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels of Brazil (ANP), for the acquisition of exploration and production blocks of oil and gas.
The acquisition of exploration and production rights for the Bumerangue Block by BP allows it to operate an oil field in the Campos Basin, one of the most prolific basins in Brazil.
The acquisition is also in line with BP’s plans to expand its business in Brazil. The result of the Public Biding Session established BP Energy do Brasil as Operator and sole winner of the bid for the Bumerangue Block, in the Santos Basin.
The total amount was BRL 116.861.000,00.
