Machado Meyer assists Simba Content in notification to Cade
Machado Meyer acted in notification to Cade regarding the continuity of the joint venture previously established between TVSBT Canal 4 de São Paulo, Rádio e Televisão Record and TV Ômega, named Simba Content – Intermediação e Agenciamento de Conteúdos. Therefore, it is an extension of Simba’s activities without a fixed term.
The incorporation of Simba was subject of Merger Filing approved with restrictions established in the Agreement on Merger Control (“ACC”) entered into between SBT, Record and RedeTV! and Cade.
The transaction now notified had a request for amendment by CADE, which requested clarifications regarding the scope of the JV’s activities and the relevant market presented, and, after the information submitted by the companies, it was noted that the transaction does not change Simba’s scope of activity and that the estimated supply presented for the markets involved in the transaction is in line with the Council’s precedents.
