Machado Meyer acted as deal counsel in the public offering for the distribution of the single class quotas object of its 12th issuance of real estate investment fund (FII) quotas, aimed at the public in general, through an automatic registration process, pursuant to CVM Resolution 160, with the purpose of acquiring real estate assets that comply with the Fund’s investment policy.
The purpose of the Fund is to obtain income and capital gains through the development of real estate projects focused on operations in the logistics segment. In the Manager’s opinion, in times of declining interest rates, FIIs have appreciated significantly: in view of the macroeconomic projection for the coming years, the quotas are expected to appreciate as historically observed. The income distributed by the Fund is exempt from income tax for individuals. The Fund raised more than R$ 749 million.
