Madronas advises HR Participações on energy JV
Madrona advised HR Participações e Consultorias Empresariais on a corporate matter involving the development of two thermoelectric power plants (UTEs) located in the Brazilian states of Paraíba and Pernambuco.
The mandate, internally referred to as “Projeto Carbono,” covered the joint venture between the original shareholders, Marcelo Vieira and Verysson Ferreira, and Eletricidade do Brasil (Ebrasil). The firm also assisted the original shareholders in structuring an equity investment involving Rent Gestão e Participações.
The Madrona’s team was led by partner Eduardo Coelho, together with Thiago Cavalcanti and Izabela Albano. Ebrasil, Rent Gestão e Participações and UTE Termo Agreste Pernambuco SPE were advised in-house by José Paulo Sá Rodrigues Gonçalves.
