MHR advises San Benito upstream on YPF deal

Martínez de Hoz & Rueda (MHR) has represented San Benito Upstream on its acquisition of YPF’s 100% interest in the areas comprising the El Corcobo producing field, a hydrocarbon area in Argentina. The transaction remains subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions precedent and the receipt of the relevant regulatory approvals.

The transaction involves the transfer of YPF’s full participation in the El Corcobo area to San Benito Upstream, consolidating the buyer’s position in the producing field. Closing of the deal is contingent on regulatory clearance and other conditions precedent still to be satisfied.

MHR advised the purchaser through partners Juan Cruz Azzarri (pictured right) and Tomás Dellepiane (pictured left), together with associates Pedro Torassa, Martín Scapini and Guillermo Re. On behalf of San Benito Upstream, Gustavo Hours, Director of Legal, and Eduardo Arzeno, Legal Manager, also took part in the transaction. The seller, YPF, was advised by Mariano Vitullo, Legal Counsel, and María Valeria Culasso.
