Martínez de Hoz & Rueda and Bruchou & Funes de Rioja represents Pan American Energy’ loan
Martínez de Hoz & Rueda and Bruchou & Funes de Rioja have advised in a significant syndicated loan transaction for Pan American Energy, Argentine branch. The deal was valued at US$ 336 million and represents one of the largest local loans in Argentina over the past decade.
Martínez de Hoz & Rueda advised Pan American Energy, an integrated energy company in Argentina, while Bruchou & Funes de Rioja represented a syndicate of 14 financial institutions in the granting of the loan under Argentine law.
Banco BBVA Argentina, Banco de Galicia y Buenos Aires, and Banco Santander Argentina acted as arrangers of the syndicated loan, with Banco BBVA Argentina taking on the role of administrative agent.
The legal team from Martínez de Hoz & Rueda was led by partner José Martínez de Hoz (Nieto) (pictured right), supported by associates Luisina Luchini and Marco Primo. Pan American Energy’s in-house legal team included Fernando Fresco, Dolores Reimundes, and Ignacio Gonzalez Padin.
Bruchou & Funes de Rioja’s team advising the lenders was headed by partner José Bazán (pictured left), with support from associates Sebastián Pereyra Pagiari, Pedro Azumendi, and Lucía De Luca.
