Marval appoints two new partners

Marval O’Farrell Mairal has announced the appointment of Manuela Adrogué and Luciana Virgile as new partners of the firm, to strengthen the Intellectual Property and Tax practice areas.

Manuela (pictured left), who joined Marval in 2019, specialises mainly in new technologies law, personal data protection and intellectual property. She has extensive experience working with the most innovative technology companies, and her expertise includes comprehensive advice on personal data protection, software, intellectual property agreements, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. She graduated as a lawyer from Torcuato Di Tella University and obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Maastricht University, the Netherlands, and the Data Protection Officer Professional certification for the European Union from the same university. Prior to joining Marval, she worked as Data Protection Officer and Brand Protection Analyst at Pointer Brand Protection/Corsearch in the Netherlands. She is currently a professor of Personal Data Protection at the Torcuato Di Tella University.

Luciana (pictured right), a recognised expert in tax law with extensive experience in advising banks and companies in the automotive, food, pharmaceutical, telecommunications and software industries and in the energy and mining sectors, has joined the firm in 2013. Her expertise includes international and local tax advice on contractual and transactional matters, as well as in relation to labour issues, promotional regimes and digital economy taxation, among many other relevant and current areas for the tax field. She is a lawyer graduated from the University of Buenos Aires and holds a specialisation in Tax Law from the same university. She is currently National Tax Reporter for Argentina for the International Bar Association (IBA).
