Marval promotes two partners
Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal announced the promotion of Santiago del Río and Juan Pablo Rothschild to the partnership.
Santiago del Río specializes in competition law, with 12 years’ experience. He has recently handled merger control matters and anti competitive investigations for companies in the software, oil and gas, textiles, pharmaceuticals, automotive and air transportation sectors. del Rio was seconded to Spanish law firm Uría Menéndez for a year, where he handled both EU and Spanish competition matters in Brussels and Madrid. He has a Postgraduate Diploma in Economics for Competition Law from King’s College University, London.
Juan Pablo Rothschild focuses on customs law and has over 17 years of experience. He advises on customs, foreign trade and tax, including administrative and judicial litigation relating to customs valuation, classification and infringements to import and export regimes. Rothschild holds an LL.M. in taxation from Boston University. He is also a university professor and a member of the Argentine Institute of Customs Studies.
