Mattos Filho advises IDB and Proparco in financing for SABESP
Mattos Filho advised the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest) and Société de Promotion et de Participation Pour la Coopération Economique (Proparco), as Brazilian legal advisors in connection with the financing of R$ 470 million for the Basic Sanitation Company of the State of São Paulo – SABESP.
The funds received will be allocated by the debtor to investments in the 4th stage of the Tietê River Depollution Project, which includes optimization and expansion of the sewage collection network with the construction of 200 km of collection networks and 160 km of interceptors sewage; and expansion of effluent treatment capacity in Parque Novo Mundo, São Miguel Paulista, Barueri and construction of a new ETE Franco da Rocha. The financing was supported by a new guarantee product by Proparco.
Mattos Filho represented Inter-American Development Bank – IADB and Société de Promotion et de Participation pour la Coopération Economique (Proparco) and relied on partner Pablo Sorj (pictured), associates Bryan Nathan Klein, Ana Carolina Sertã Paixão da Silveira Pinto.
