Mattos Filho advises on tender offer for EDP shares
Mattos Filho advised on the tender offer for the acquisition of up to all outstanding common shares issued by EDP – Energias do Brasil, except for those held, directly and indirectly, by EDP – Energias de Portugal, and for those currently held in treasury.
The offer was registered on May 25, 2023 and its auction was held on July 11, 2023, in which EDP acquired 185,169,240 common shares issued by the company, which represent 31.86% of its total share capital. The shares were acquired for the price of R$ 23.73 for a total amount of R$ 4,394,066,065.20.
