Mattos Filho and others advise in Pan American Silver transactions

Mattos Filho assisted Pan American Silver in the due diligence and Brazilian law aspects of the acquisition of Yamana Gold, which has exploration properties and golde operations in Brazil in the total amount of BRL 4.8 billion.

Mattos Filho also advised in the negotiation of the US$ 750 million credit facility, that was granted at Pan American Silver in a credit facility led by BMO Capital Markets, The Bank of Nova Scotia and Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, as Joint Lead Arrangers and Joint Bookrunners, and Bank of Montreal, as administrative agent.

Brazilian subsidiary Jacobina Mineração e Comércio acted as guarantor for the repayment and fulfillment of the obligations assumed by Pan American Silver.

Mattos Filho advised Pan American Silver Corp on the acquisition of Yamana and relied on partners Adriano Drummond Cançado Trindade (pictured left), Eduardo Frade (pictured right) and associate Eugenia Maria Menezes Pedroso.
