Mattos Filho and Pinheiro Neto advise on xFarm deal

Mattos Filho advised xFarm Technologies, a Swiss-Italian agritech company, on its acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Sibium Analytics Tecnologia e Ciência de Dados Participações, a Brazilian data and technology group. Pinheiro Neto Advogados represented the sellers, Guilherme Canto Dumit and Ronaldo Marani, in the deal. The transaction value was not disclosed.

The transaction involved the acquisition by xFarm Technologies of all equity interests in Sibium Analytics and, indirectly, its wholly owned subsidiaries Sigma Geotecnologias Digitais, Ambium Sustentabilidade Digital and Data View Conecta. Sigma Digital specializes in geospatial intelligence solutions for agribusiness, with a focus on the sugar and ethanol industry, while Ambium focuses on sustainability management and socio-environmental assessments and DATAView specializes in data integration, analysis and visualization through business intelligence platforms. The deal is said to strengthen xFarm Technologies’ expansion strategy in the Latin American market and broaden its portfolio of technology solutions for the agribusiness industry.
