Mattos Filho e Machado Meyer advises on sale of Compass to Chlorum Group
Mattos Filho advised Compass Minerals; Machado Meyer advised Cape Participações, Chlorum Solutions
Compass Minerals sold its Chlor-Alkali plant located in Igarassu (PE) and the chemical water treatment units in Marechal Deodoro (AL) and Suzano (SP) to the Chlorum Solutions group.
In addition, Chlorum Solutions has signed a management contract for the chemical units acquired by Cape Participações.
With the transaction, Compass closes the sale of its operational assets in Brazil and Chlorum strengthens its position in the chlor-alkali industry in Brazil, especially in the Northeast region.
The transaction value was R$236 million.
