MBP on acquisition from Cuyoplacas in favour of Fiplasto
MBPartners Abogados advised Fiplasto in the acquisition of 81.83% of the share capital and votes of Cuyoplacas, thus taking control of the company.
The closing of the transaction took place on 3 December 2024, through the execution of a share purchase agreement between Fiplasto, as purchaser, and a group of shareholders of Cuyoplacas as sellers.
Fiplasto is a company with more than 70 years of history and its shares have been traded in the market for more than 50 years without interruption. The company has two industrial plants and more than 2,500 hectares of forestry land, and is the only producer of hardboard in Argentina. Fiplasto is also engaged in the manufacture and production of ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture and forestry businesses.
Cuyoplacas is a company from Mendoza dedicated to the manufacture of furniture marketed under the ‘Platinum’ brand, and melamine chipboard.
Estudio Sanchez & Asociados advised the selling shareholders of Cuyoplacas, through its partners Horacio Sanchez and Sabina Barrera.
