MCRM advises Tenaris on Benteler Steel & Tube acquisition
Mitrani Caballero & Ruiz Moreno has advised Tenaris in connection with an agreement to acquire, from Benteler North America Corporation, a company belonging to the Benteler Group (Germany-Austria), 100% of the shares of Benteler Steel & Tube Manufacturing Corporation.
This transaction was completed on 7 July for a total amount of $460 million USD.
Sullivan & Cromwell LLP and Jones Walker LLP also advised Tenaris as antitrust counsel and Louisiana regulatory counsel, respectively. Benteler was represented by Mayer Brown LLP as lead and antitrust counsel, with Adams and Reese LLP and Breazeale Sachse & Wilson LLP as Louisiana regulatory counsel.
Benteler Steel & Tube Manufacturing Corporation, a subsidiary of the Benteler Group, owns and operates a tube mill in Shreveport, Louisiana.
