Carey advised Minera Valle Central on a syndicated loan granted by Export Development Canada and BBVA.
Minera Valle Central is the Chilean subsidiary of Canadian copper miner Amerigo Resources. The company produces copper concentrate by processing fresh and historic tailings from Codelco’s El Teniente mine, the world’s largest underground copper mine.
The $35.3 million facility will be used to finance the second phase of the expansion of a processing plant operated by Minera Valle Central.
