MJ Alves Burle e Viana announces two new partners
MJ Alves Burle e Viana has announced the arrival of two new partners: Natália Martins (pictured left) and Yasmim Silveira (pictured right).
Natália, a lateral hire, will strengthen the firm’s advocacy area. The lawyer has extensive experience in liaising with diplomatic representations and government bodies to resolve issues related to international trade, drafting prospective political and economic scenarios, both domestic and international, as well as working in the area of Public Law. She specializes in Tax Law and Criminal Law at the Brazilian Institute for Education, Development and Research (IDP) and is studying for an LL.M. in Business Law at the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV).
Yasmim started at MJAB as a trainee, became a lawyer at the firm and has now joined the firm. She will continue to work mainly in the area of strategic tax litigation, as well as negotiating tax settlement agreements.
Yasmin has experience in various areas of law, especially tax law, administrative law and civil law, and has also worked for the Federal District and Territories Court of Justice (TJDFT), the Federal Public Defender’s Office (DPU) and the Regional Accounting Council (CRC). At MJAB, she has taken on several pro bono cases. She has a law degree from IDP and is studying for a specialization in Tax Law and Political Science at the International University Centre (UNINTER).
