Multiple firms act in the sale of Nabiax’s LatAm business to Actis

Clifford Chance and Graça Couto Advogados advised Nabiax; Pinheiro Neto Advogados and Linklaters advised Actis on this transaction.

The British private equity firm Actis has agreed to acquire eleven data centers across six countries in Latin America and the US from Nabiax, an European Data Center operator owned by Asterion Industrial Partners and Telefonica, for approximately US$500 million. 

The sold portfolio includes data centers in Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Argentina and U.S. At closing, Actis will become the sole owner of the data centers. Nabiax will continue to own and operate its European assets, focusing on growth in Spain.

Nabiax has reinforced its commitment to invest in Spain, where the group wants to continue its expansion to consolidate the leading position in the market, where it aims to achieve 120 MW of installed capacity in the upcoming years.

The firm plans to grow in Spain, betting on sustainability as an strategic pillar, focusing on the usage of renewable energy and the optimization of the efficient use of power.
