Muñiz Law and Miranda & Amado on sale of Wi-Net to Linzor

Estudio Muñiz has advised the shareholders of Wi-Net Telecom on its sale to Linzor Capital Partners, a regional private equity firm with investments throughout Latin America.

Linzor Capital Partners, advised by Latham & Watkins and Garrigues, received a loan from a conglomerate of banks, advised by Miranda & Amado, for the acquisition.

Banco BBVA Peru acted as coordinator and lender; and Scotiabank Peru, Banco de Credito del Peru, Banco Internacional del Peru and Banco BCI Peru acted as lenders.

Wi-Net Telecom is a company that operates under the ‘WIN’ brand and is one of the leading providers of residential fibre optic internet in Peru, serving around 527,000 customers through a proprietary network that reaches approximately 3 million homes.

Garrigues’ team regarding the acquisition included partner Sergio Amiel, counsel Hector Zegarra, principal associate Alessandro Mussio, and associates German Gomez, Stefano Valer and Jimena Valega. The team advising on the financing included partner Diego Harman, senior associate Carolina Pérez-Taiman Harm, and associate David Fernandez Asensi.
