Muñiz Ramirez instructed on bond placement by Engie Energía Peru

Peruvian law firm Muñiz, Ramirez, Perez Taiman & Olaya advised Engie Energía Perú on the first issuance of its dual currency bond programme. 

The bonds were acquired by local institutional investors, for a total of $75 million (in US dollars and Peruvian soles). This first issuance is done under Engie´s $500 million dual currency corporate bond programme.

Engie Energía Perú (formerly EnerSur) is one of the largest electricity generation companies in Peru and a subsidiary of Engie (formerly GDF Suez), the French multinational.

Partner Andres Kuan-Veng led the team at Muñiz, Ramirez, Perez Taiman & Olaya advising Engie.

Credicorp acted as agent in the transaction and retained Estudio Echecopar, member firm of Baker & McKenzie International.
