Orrick expands Latin America focused team with Mayer Brown hire

Orrick announced that Gabriel Salinas has joined the firm. He will be based in Houston.

Salinas received his LLM from Harvard Law School, his J.D., with high honors, from Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey and his B.A., summa cum laude, from Elmhurst College. He is a native of Monterrey, México and is dual-licensed in the U.S. and Mexico.

Salinas regularly represents clients in cross-border transactions and projects in the energy and infrastructure sector, with a focus on Latin America. In addition, he advises on oil and gas (upstream, midstream and downstream), conventional and renewable power and other energy-related projects. He joins the M&A and Private Equity practice and Latin America team at Orrick.

Orrick launched in Houston earlier this year. The office is now home to 42 lawyers.
