PPU clears Chilean competition concerns for hotel megarmerger

The Chilean office of PPU assisted both Marriott and Starwood in clearing any potential competition concerns in Chile arising from their merger. 

Marriott announced its global acquisition of Starwood in December 2015. In Chile, the hotel companies instructed a team at Iberian American law firm Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría to clarify any potential impact of the merger in the market and to clear any competition concerns by Chile´s regulatory authorities.

Partner Ricardo Riesco led the PPU team advising the hoteliers.
