PAGBAM and TRSYM on PPA between DOW and MSU Energy

Perez Alati Grondona Benites & Arntsen and Tavarone Rovelli Salim & Miani have advised DOW and MSU Energy respectively in the negotiation and drafting of a $50 million sale and purchase agreement for renewable energy generated by MSU for Dow’s production complex in Bahía Blanca, Argentina.

The deal will enable Dow to achieve a 74% share of renewables in Bahia Blanca’s energy needs by 2025, making it one of the world’s top 20 companies using clean energy.

The agreement provides for the delivery of the equivalent of 28% of the complex’s demand and it is estimated that in this way Dow will reduce approximately 296,000 tonnes of CO2 over 10 years.

The supply of clean energy will come from two solar parks in Argentina: Las Lomas, in La Rioja, with an installed capacity of 37 MW, and Pampa del Infierno, in Chaco, with an installed capacity of 130 MW.

Josefina Tobias and Paloma Berdichevsky acted as internal advisors to DOW.

PAGBAM’s team included partner Francisco Romano (pictured), counsel Tomás Fernandez Madero and senior associate Nahuel Pérez de Villarreal.
