PAGBAM Schwencke represents Austral Capital Partners in two asset sales

PAGBAM Schwencke in Chile has represented Austral Capital Partners in two asset sale transactions. One of them, which closed on 29 December 2022, consisted of the sale to Sonda of all the shares owned by the Austral Capital Fund in the company “Multicaja”, linked to the company Klap, a leader in financial payment services in face-to-face and e-commerce in Chile.

The second transaction, closed on 27 December 2022, was the sale to Warburg Pincus of the stake held by the Austral Capital and Austral I Ext Funds in Scanntech, a company dedicated to technological solutions to improve the efficiency of retail sales with operations in Brazil, Uruguay, among other countries.

In parallel to the divestment processes mentioned above, Austral Capital Partners is actively raising capital for new funds in the field of technology companies with local and regional growth potential.

Austral Capital Partners, a fund manager in the third party fund management business for 16 years, has managed total assets of more than US$200 million.

PAGBAM Schwencke’s team for both transactions was led by partners Juan Pablo Schwencke (pictured left) and Francisco Prado (pictured right).

Carey’s team, involved in the first transaction, was led by partner Guillermo Acuña.

DLA Piper advised on the second transaction with the support of Jennifer Rodriguez.
