Pellerano & Herrera instructed on $80 million hotel development in Santo Domingo

Dominican Republic law firm Pellerano & Herrera advised Grupo Poma on the development of the Real Intercontinental Hotel Santo Domingo, an investment of over $80 million in the Dominican Republic.

Grupo Poma is a family-owned Central American conglomerate headquartered in El Salvador. It operates several business segments including car dealerships, real estate development and construction, industrial manufacturing and hotels.

The new hotel, part of the Real Hotels & Resorts which is owned by Poma, has 227 rooms across 21 floors and will be interconnected to Roble Corporate Center, a brand new corporate centre in Santo Domingo. The hotel was inaugurated by Danilo Medina, President of the Dominican Republic.

Partners Luis Rafael Pellerano and Mariangela Pellerano led the team acting for Poma on the deal.
