PHR promotes new partners and directors
Posse Herrera Ruiz has announced the appointment of Erika Serrano, Estefanía Ponce and Maria Paula Sánchez as new partners, and Juan José Huertas, María Isabel Osorio and Pedro Miguel Álvarez as new directors, to strengthen the firm’s arbitration, environmental, foreign trade, financial, commercial and corporate dispute resolution practices.
Erika Serrano (pictured left), with more than 11 years of experience in natural resources and environmental law, has demonstrated her expertise in both the public and private sectors, enriching the team and clients with her perspective from an environmental standpoint.
Estefanía Ponce (pictured centre), with more than 15 years dedicated to dispute resolution and international arbitration, will lead from Barranquilla, bringing her international vision and commitment to the growth of the firm.
Maria Paula Sánchez (pictured right), who took over as head of the Customs and International Trade practice in 2021, joins the partners in the Medellín office, bringing more than 13 years of experience to further consolidate the practice as a market leader.
Juan José Huertas, with more than 10 years of experience in Colombia and the United States in Finance and Capital Markets, will lead as a director, specialising in complex financing transactions for clients in various industries.
María Isabel Osorio has had a successful career in complex litigation. With 20 years of experience in dispute resolution and private law consulting, she is an expert in disputes related to distribution schemes, contractual terminations and abuse of rights cases.
Pedro Miguel Álvarez, who focuses on dispute resolution, will be promoted to director, bringing with him his extensive experience in commercial litigation and corporate disputes. Pedro’s appointment is a recognition of his positioning as an expert in corporate matters in the local market.
