Pinheiro Neto advises Asaas on Helena acquisition
Pinheiro Neto advised Brazilian fintech Asaas Gestão Financeira Instituição de Pagamento on its acquisition of 100% of Hunion Tecnologia, the developer of a technology platform known as Helena, in a transaction valued at BRL 150 million (approximately USD 27 million).
Helena’s technology enables payments through social media channels such as WhatsApp and provides CRM management tools. The acquisition marks Asaas’s largest transaction to date, following a reported 234% increase in the company’s net profit.
The sellers were the company’s founders and financial investors.
Pinheiro Neto’s team advising Asaas was led by partner Cauê Myanaki (pictured left), alongside senior associate Luiz Fernando Lockmann and associate Vinicius Bacha.
Coimbra Chaves acted for the sellers and the target, with a team comprising partner Paula Chaves (pictured right), senior associate Francisco Cortes, and associates Luiz Felipe Curtis and Pedro Machado.
