Simões Ribeiro adds two partners and launches practice
Simões Ribeiro Advogados has brought on two new partners — Fernando Medici Jr. and Ane Elisa Perez — each accompanied by their respective teams, while simultaneously launching a dedicated Public Law and Infrastructure practice. The moves are part of the firm’s broader strategy to deepen its capabilities in arbitration, complex litigation, and regulated sectors.
Fernando Medici Jr. joins to integrate and strengthen the firm’s Arbitration and Strategic Litigation practice. With more than 23 years of experience, he has handled domestic and international disputes spanning corporate matters, commercial contracts, construction and infrastructure, energy, telecommunications, and debt recovery. Over the course of his career, he has participated in more than one hundred court proceedings and arbitrations, including cases that have contributed to the development of arbitration in Brazil. He holds an LL.M. in Contract Law from Insper.
Ane Elisa Perez will head the newly created Public Law and Infrastructure practice. With over 30 years of experience in public procurement, concessions, public-private partnerships, infrastructure, arbitration, and dispute resolution, she brings a track record in both advisory work and the management of complex disputes in regulated sectors. She is a Ph.D. candidate in Administrative Law at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), holds a Master’s degree in Constitutional Law from the same institution, and serves as a professor in Brazil and abroad.
The appointments are part of Simões Ribeiro Advogados’ ongoing institutional expansion, which includes strengthening its national and international presence through cooperation with international law firms and multinational legal associations.
