Pinheiro Neto and Souza Mello in R$ 280 million negotiation between Ser and Fael

Ser Educacional has announced the purchase of the Faculdade Educacional da Lapa (Fael) for R$ 280 million. The digital teaching area of Ser will have 144 thousand students. The purchase must be approved by Cade.

Fael has its operations based in the city of Lapa (PR) and is one of the largest digital higher education institutions in Brazil, with approximately 90 thousand students in undergraduate and graduate programs registered directly or indirectly in its institution.

With the acquisition, Ser now has more than a thousand distance learning centers, since FAEL currently has a network of more than 600, and adds about 90 thousand students to its undergraduate and graduate base.
