PPU adds new tax litigation director in Peru

Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU and Uría announced that Carlos Moreano has joined the firm in Peru. 

Moreano holds a master’s degree in economic corporate law from the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas and is a graduate of the Master’s Degree in Taxation and Fiscal Policy at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, respectively. He also has post-graduate studies at Louisiana State University in the US and at the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations in Panama (CIAT).

He joins PPU from Deloitte where he was director of litigation for almost 4 years. Prior to that role, Moreano worked at the tax court in Peru for 19 years. From 1992 to 1995, he was advisor and consultant at SUNAT, Peru´s tax authority.

“The addition of our new tax litigation director will further strengthen our area and help us continue to position our leadership alongside with other practices already recognised by our clients,” said Walker Villanueva, leading partner of tax and international trade at PPU.
