PPU counsels UC Christus on acquisition of Medicien Group

Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría Chile has counselled UC Christus on the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Grupo Medicien from Colmena Salud and Colmena Holding (Colmena).

This transaction was signed on 31 January and closed on 14 February, where Barros & Errazuriz acted as advisor to Colmena.

Thanks to this transaction, UC Christus consolidates its position as one of the most important medical service providers in Chile.

Medicien is comprised of the Chilean companies Servicios Médicos Medicien, Laboratorios Medicien, Laboratorio Clínico Medicien Limitada and Inmobiliaria Medicien Limitada, which are dedicated to the provision of medical services, including their underlying assets consisting of medical centres, laboratories and sampling units.
